I am an American and proud of it!
What do I mean by that statement?
The America I’ve seen means FREEDOM and ACCOUNTABILITY for one’s actions.
Constitution provides INDIVIDUAL freedom.
Abiding by Constitutional principles produces positive results
The resulting individual freedom has created the most magnificent and powerful nation the world has ever known.
As the spirit of man is freed, so will man’s ability to progress be advanced. This is seen in American inventions, medicine, and society at large.
The Preamble to the Constitution identifies 6 elements
the Constitution provides for us IF we adhere to it:
“We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure the domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
The 6 elements:
- Form a more perfect Union
- Establish Justice
- Insure the Domestic Tranquility
- Provide for the common defense
- Promote the General Welfare
- Secure the Blessings of Liberty
The Founding Documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were inspired by God.
George Washington wrote:
“The federal Constitution [adoption process]…, should everything proceed with harmony and consent according to our actual wishes and expectations…, will demonstrate as visibly the finger of Providence, as any possible event in the course of human affairs can ever designate it.”
(George Washington, p. iii of the National Center for Constitutional Studies booklet)
Therefore, I support and will defend Constitutional government. I categorically reject Socialism and Communism. That ideology is diametrically opposed to the principles within the US Constitution.
There are too many attempts to subvert the Constitution in the current environment
The notion that the Constitution is “outdated” is ludicrous. What is needed is a more stringent adherence to the Constitution and the principles articulated therein. Instead of replacing the Constitution, people need to re-read it!
Take the “vaccine mandate,” for example. Where in the US Constitution does the Federal Government have the authority to dictate we get a medical treatment? Does such a dictate, according to Constitutional principles, form a more perfect Union, or establish Justice, or insure the domestic Tranquility, or provide for the common defense, or promote the general Welfare, or secure the Blessings of Liberty? One could argue it promotes the general welfare, but it certainly doesn’t secure the blessings of Liberty by dictating a shot. So, is it a constitutional mandate? I say NO.
People have the RIGHT to make their own medical decisions based upon their individual health conditions and their individual understanding of the risk-benefit ratio of using a medical intervention. THAT is the America I grew up in and the America I intend to defend!
